Homemade, Natural Skin Cleanser
Just some effort may help you save some money, as you prepare at home a chemical free natural face wash– here’s how.

  • Mix two teaspoons of tomato pulp along with one teaspoon of milk and one teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply this cleanser on the face and keep it for 10 minutes before rinsing with cool water. You can even store this cleanser for future use.
  • Gram flour is one of the oldest and best known natural homemade face wash. You can mix gram flour with milk, curd or milk cream to prepare the pack and apply it all over the face and gently massage. Keep for 15 minutes till it dries completely. Wash off with cool water.

Healthy Hair
We all would have at some point dreamt of a flowing mane, healthy and beautiful. But nothing is achieved without some amount of effort. Similarly, it is important to look after hair, lest they end up being rough and frizzy.  Monsoon makes them worse. It takes longer for them to dry after the wash due to humidity and sweat gives an embarrassing odour. It’s advisable to wash hair more often during monsoons.

  • You can apply the white of several eggs before you shampoo, leaving it for half an hour. Egg white gives body or volume to the hair and is a wonderful cleanser as well.
  • Henna is a good conditioner, also very cooling for hot climate. You can add tea water to mix henna along with lemon juice, coffee and two raw eggs. Leave it for half an hour and rinse; you will get a magical result.
  • Tea and lemon juice makes a great hair rinse, brings back the natural shine of the hair. Boil the used tea leaves again in enough water for the rinse, let it cool and strain, add the juice of a lemon. Use it as a last rinse after shampoo.
