Their love found expression amidst the hustle of their B-School; TAPMI. Despite their completely different cultures (2 States revisited), Rajiv & Harshita’s love brought their families together to craft an enchanting wedding story that we are delighted to share with our readers.

An intercultural wedding with both the bride to be & the groom to be in different cities; it seemed a daunting task to bring it all together. “In fact, both of us were inclined towards getting married in the court, as it seemed the easiest option at the time,” says Harshita, recalling the initial few days of envisioning her big day. But, the families wanted something grand and the couple couldn’t say no to their parents as they decided to make it a regal affair.

The fusion of cultures

Given the intercultural wedding, it was critical to ensure that both cultures and respective traditions got equal representation. “We eventually decided it to be a north meets south theme based wedding and planned for all the rituals to be undertaken simultaneously as per our respective cultures,” said Rajiv & Harshita.

The families played an amazing role in getting it all together. Since Harshita was working in Pune, she virtually finalised all her trousseau on a video call with her parents scanning the Delhi markets for the very best for their little girl. Even Rajiv was undergoing a very stressful & busy time at work and it was his mother and his younger brother who helped him expedite the majority of his groom shopping. Like true millennials; this lovely couple used technology extensively to get inspiration and executing the wedding of their dreams.

The vivacious bride

Right from the bright yellow attire & flower jewellery adorned by Harshita on her haldi to the stunning hues, she carried on her Mehndi dress; she left us in awe. Her wedding day look was nothing short of Rajasthani royalty as her sharp features, especially eyes found a majestic casing in that beautiful red lehenga and bright and conspicuous bridal jewellery.

The dapper groom

Rajiv also rocked the wedding day with his charisma and charm. With class written all over; he arrived in style on his majestic chariot embracing a regal aura vide his chic sherwani, finely crafted shawl, striking necklace and the unmissable, red turban.

The magic of love

The joyous faces of Harshita & Rajiv across the wide ensemble of events of their wedding celebrations express the true happiness of not only two people coming together but two families & two cultures bound by love.
