Often when we visit spas our focus is on the massages while scrubs and wraps take a back seat. With this simple to make and easy to use body scrub, you can rinse yourself off of all the tiredness & feel refreshed in no time & very less money.
Things Needed- 1 cup or more raw sugar, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, 1 lime
Use it- Mix all the ingredients well by hand or by spoon. The citrus smell of the lime with the cleaning agent mix is great for the body, whereas the sugar will exfoliate well the dead skin. Use it over the body and rub till you feel the need. Leave for a few minutes and take a shower.

Eye Relaxation techniques
Eyes, eyes baby! Both of these procedures have astringent effects on the skin. Where egg whites are rich in Vitamin B2 and riboflavin, chamomile is known to ease redness & puffiness on the skin. Green tea contains tannins, which also shrinks the swollen tissues.
Things Needed- Chamomile or green tea bags, which are steeped and cooled, and 1 egg white beaten
Use it- Both of these are separate forms of relaxation for the tired eyes. First apply the egg white under the eye and let it sit for 15 minutes Rinse it. Now, place the cooled tea bags on the eyes and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse it.

Full Body Soak
This DIY idea is rather old but gold. Arranging candles around the tub and lighting incense to stimulate the senses where you spend some me time, is what we are talking about. The dark woody notes of lavender are good to cure insomnia, stress, PMS and headaches whereas chamomile is great for soothing the skin and hair. Rose is known for its properties for removing headaches, soothing the body and the relaxing the mind with invigorating fragrance.
Things Needed- incense stick (lavender, chamomile, lemongrass), candles to light up the atmosphere, essential oil whether lavender or rose or chamomile, some dried herbs of your choice and 2-3 spoons of Epsom salt.
Use it- Add all of the ingredients and enjoy a relaxed time in the tub to rejuvenate your senses.
Hair Spa
Our hair suffers torture everyday because of pollution & sweat. While we clean our face 2-3 times a day, our hair is allowed a cleansing 2-3 times week. We suggest trying this hair-conditioning mask, which will save the moolah on spa and help you achieve bouncy locks. Coconut oil is great for hair, which protects its denseness and richness whereas honey absorbs moisture well & helps the hair to retain the moisture.
Things Needed- 1-2 tsp of coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of honey, 5 -6 drops of peppermint oil
Use it- Mix all the ingredients and apply it to damp hair. Keep the mask for 30 to 40 minutes before you shampoo.
